A couple of thoughts; how do bent shaft paddles work in paddle float outrigger rescues? Any problem there getting the paddle to sit securely in the back deck bungies or straps? And, why is it that paddles come in a standard 29mm diameter shaft size? Paddlers have different hand sizes, why not a choice of paddle shaft diameters? Has anyone on the list customized their paddle shaft to provide a larger diameter, or custom oval or other shape at the place most gripped?
