In your rejoinder to someone else, you noted that solo paddles make for more detailed trip reports -- as if you pay more attention to your surroundings when you paddle alone. When I solo paddle, I find myself painting word pictures as I go -- without someone else to talk to, I seem to be making images for later release -- often as a trip report. Must be the gregarious gene needs satisfying.
