Shirts, hats, logos, and decals, whew! How about a PW mascot? Something on the order below, perfect for putting under the fore deck bungies? Seriously, I got this in the mail today from my sister as a birthday present and thought I'd share "Jack" with you. -Nick [Image] *************************************************************************** PaddleWise Paddling Mailing List - All postings copyright the author and not to be reproduced outside PaddleWise without author's permission Submissions: paddlewise_at_lists.intelenet.net Subscriptions: paddlewise-request_at_lists.intelenet.net Website: http://www.paddlewise.net/ ***************************************************************************

Any interest in patches? White shirt always works for me. The logo would look good against white. Maybe a 6-7" diameter logo on the back and a 3" diameter on the chest or sleeve. Orange sounds good for the cap. Maybe khaki as well? 3" diameter patch/embroidery. Stickers are always in demand. my 2 cents, Joe *************************************************************************** PaddleWise Paddling Mailing List - All postings copyright the author and not to be reproduced outside PaddleWise without author's permission Submissions: paddlewise_at_lists.intelenet.net Subscriptions: paddlewise-request_at_lists.intelenet.net Website: http://www.paddlewise.net/ ***************************************************************************
I've already told you my suggestions for shirt color, but I'll repeat it, for all. I liked white, Bob suggested grey. Orange is great for visibility, but the logo is orange. But it might work for a baseball cap, if you put the orange logo on a white background. Personally, I'm not interested in a patch, but others may be. I was wondering when we were going to find out how we can buy stuff with the logo. Yes to patches, caps, and T-Shirts. I guess a white T-shirt with the orange logo would be good for starters. Cap the same, I guess. Would you mind checking into prices for visors while you're at it??? I would definitely like some decals to stick on my fleet and my two vehicles. There's one question that's bothering me about all of this - who is going to be fronting all the money for this? And who is going to be willing to process orders, do the shipping etc? My original thought when this logo idea came up was that it would be up to each individual to take the jpeg of the logo to their local t-shirt/graphics shop and have whatever they wanted made. It's the same model that we use on Paddlewise every day - the collective body shares information but it's up to each individual to put it into use in the way that best suits them. Isn't there some special paper that can be bought and used with an inkjet printer that will allow for iron-on transfers? Might be a good way to do the t-shirt thing if it works. Anyone here of this and/or tried it? *************************************************************************** PaddleWise Paddling Mailing List - All postings copyright the author and not to be reproduced outside PaddleWise without author's permission Submissions: paddlewise_at_lists.intelenet.net Subscriptions: paddlewise-request_at_lists.intelenet.net Website: http://www.paddlewise.net/ ***************************************************************************

I asked if we had a logo and Jackie pointed me to it. I thought I would investigate getting T Shirts made up and I asked the list their opinions on colors, products, etc. I have one estimate and hope to get another this weekend. In the end, I expect to focus on T shirts and/or caps. Shirts most likely. So far, I see the need for a minimum order, so, when I have all the info, I will propose a product, color, design size & orientation, etc. I will indicate a price to cover the product (including set-up, artwork charge), mailing envelope and postage. I will advertise it on the list. If I get a subscription for at least 80% of a minimum order, I will place the order and mail the product out to the subscribers. If it gets too complicated, I will back off FAST. Are you still bothered? In addition to Dave taking on the T-shirt challenge, I'll be happy to work [and front] the production of a PaddleWise decal. [If that's all right with you, Jackie!] Have already called a company in Texas for a ballpark quote [print minimum -- 100] just to get an idea on cost. Of course, the most important question is: How many folks would be interested in purchasing a PaddleWise decal or three? E-mail me direct and I'll compile the responses. Also, if you say you're interested, please make sure you buy one when available! Cheers! Jim Tynan Pike Road kayakbound_at_yahoo.com __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? [If that's all right with you, > Jackie!] Just to clarify things - it's Bill Leonhardt who's doing the t-shirt project. Dave Seng is the skeptic hanging out in Alaska who will probably just do his own thing. Maybe it's a self-reliance thing<grin>. This sure is a great bunch of folks! I said it before and I'll probably say it again - my hat's off to all the folks who make Paddlewise such a great "place". HP iron on transfer paper. Its "OK", but not great... quality of ink makes a big difference. I'm gonna try one in a color laser printer soon. Laser paper works well (Canon Fiery). I've used in on several projects where things had to be durable. But for higher quality, there are plenty of cheap printing places around that specialize in printing small runs of t-shirts and such. Now, these shirts, they'll be Capilene, right? -Patrick At 4:21 PM -0400 4/27/00, MadPoodle_at_aol.com wrote: >HP iron on transfer paper. I just had some T-shirts done locally and they were $3 apiece for 100 single color. Each color adds about $1. These were top quality Haynes. cu -----Original Message----- From: owner-paddlewise_at_lists.intelenet.net [mailto:owner-paddlewise_at_lists.intelenet.net]On Behalf Of Patrick Maun Sent: Thursday, April 27, 2000 4:58 PM To: paddlewise_at_lists.intelenet.net Subject: Re: [Paddlewise] Paddlewise logo on clothes Laser paper works well (Canon Fiery).
