Well, I can never resist a bargain trip - especially when it's to a place
that has been on my travel wish list for years. Round trip Miami to
Dusseldorf on LTU for $348! With taxes it came to $400 - such a deal.
However, since I wasn't going to take an international trip at all this year,
it has to be on a tight budget.

Fortunately another friend and her friend are going so I am meeting them in
Baden Baden. I leave Miami on April 19 and return on April 29.

I am requesting information on the back channel for some details.

I need to get to Baden Baden from Dusseldorf. How long will it take via
train (and cost) and how long via bus (and cost)? We'll be in the Baden
Baden vicinity for about 3 days and do sightseeing in the Black Forest
area/Munich and ???

One of the "girls" has a yen to see tulips, so a little foray into Holland is
also on the "menu."

Unless the Deutschlanders have found a way to heat the waters, I don't
believe that kayaking will be possible (what a pity). Air fares rocket when
summer rolls around. I have the microfleece ready and am raring to go.

Grateful for tips.
