It seems that the matter of mounting racks on a Caravan was mentioned a few weeks back. Can anyone suggest the right set of gear? Will appreciate any suggestions. Joe Start off with www.yakima.com and use their fit list. Without knowing your Caravan's year and specific features [factory rack, etc.], it's hard to tell at this end what would work and what wouldn't. I own an SUV and use a Yakima rack -- double-cross towers with 66" crossbars and two saddle pairs [the old style]. Works great! Never had any problems! [Though there have been some comments on this list about Yakima crossbars that wouldn't tighten down.] For the Caravan [owned one a few years back], I believe the double-cross towers will work with a factory rack. And with them, you might want to consider using a pair of mako saddles and a pair of hully rollers [in the rear] due to the van's height. Certainly would make the process easier if you're solo. Good luck! Jim Tynan Pike Road AL Just a thought ... And of course, there's always Thule racks as well [www.thule.com].
