Can someone please explain what types of events and demos might take place at this gathering? We are in the market for a tandem kayak and trying to decide if the trip would be worthwhile. Thanks. On-water pond classes (basic strokes, less basic strokes, rolling, etc). In the ocean classes (surfing, waves, etc). Frestyle canoe competition. Many many demo boats, of all kinds, from wood strip canoes to kevlar sea kayaks, to plastic WW boats. I can't predict whether there will be any tandems or not. If you really want to paddle some, try contacting Wilderness Systems and Necky and put a bug in their ears. Or call Dale at Sea Kayak Georgia and see if he can bring one over.
