This type sounds like what holds my easy-pass(electronic toll collection 
badge) to the windshield. Seems sensitive to temperature. I swap the badge 
from car to car, but when it is cold (in winter) I can't get the thing off 
without first warming up the car. Same goes for putting it in another 
vehicle. Agree that I wouldn't trust it for anything important.
