Raising a bunch of Lab's and running filed trials with them I had to learn
real quick on how to get them in the boat. For those of you with large
dogs, such as Labs, they need a foot hold and then you can place your hand
on the back of their neck. Push forcefully and you will help them up and
over. They learn quick and this is the least problematic allowing the dog
to do the muscle work. It doesn't require that you "horse" them over the
side as they use their front legs and are able to balance themselves back
into the boat.
