For info, see http://www.gasp-seakayak.net/poochyak.html (there's a link to several photos submitted by other paddlers with paddling pooches). Some folks open the hatch, but I'd rather leave it closed. However, something like a seasock in the hatch should work, I would think. Both Mollie and Hallie have jumped off. They find out rather quickly they prefer to be *in* the kayak :-) The type of doggie pfd I use has a grab loop on the back. After a couple of trips, they get used to it and Mollie usually lies down and goes to sleep. More info on paddline with Mollie at http://www.sea-kayak.org/poochyak.html Cheers, Jackie *************************************************************************** PaddleWise Paddling Mailing List - All postings copyright the author and not to be reproduced outside PaddleWise without author's permission Submissions: paddlewise_at_lists.intelenet.net Subscriptions: paddlewise-request_at_lists.intelenet.net Website: http://www.paddlewise.net/ ***************************************************************************Received on Wed May 03 2000 - 11:30:23 PDT
