I just received a QCC 400X. It's Kevlar and with a skeg weighs 46 lbs.

I paid $2,500 for the boat including a Lightning paddle, Lotus vest, pump,
cockpit cover and skirt.

Although this is my first Kayak I am an experienced sailor and I can tell
you that the general execution is first rate. Also QCC has far and away the
best service of any merchant I have ever dealt with (on or off line!!)

Yesterday I paddled 7 miles around Raritan Bay (New York.) The wind was
westerly changing to southerly at about 10 kts gusting to 15 the seas were
short less then a foot with an occasional 18 inch swell. Obviously these
were not difficult conditions but I did not have any difficulties with
weather cocking regardless of the wind direction or velocity.
