My second paddle was a Cricket Designs 2 piece wooden paddle. I too like a wooden paddle. Part of it is the appearance, part is the feel. I also noticed that Patrick Maun was correct when he told me that a wooden paddle is more comfortable to hold in the winter. I think there may also be some flex and responsiveness advantages as well. I do think the greater bouyancy of the wood helped me learn the proper orientation of my paddle as I attempt to develop the so far proverbial bomb-proof roll. As I said, I do like mine, but I just don't know why. *************************************************************************** PaddleWise Paddling Mailing List - All postings copyright the author and not to be reproduced outside PaddleWise without author's permission Submissions: paddlewise_at_lists.intelenet.net Subscriptions: paddlewise-request_at_lists.intelenet.net Website: http://www.paddlewise.net/ ***************************************************************************Received on Fri Jun 02 2000 - 12:20:13 PDT
