I think the issue wasn't so much the sponsons, which have merit for certain
situations, but the shameless way Ingram was promoting them.

I missed the Tim Ingram fiasco, but have read his web page and the
Paddlewise Topics on sponsons.  I am still looking for information on
the value of sponsons if you want to sport fish or kite sail from your
tippy kayak (with rudder).  Any paddlers with experience?  Opinions?
