The plastic seems to be much harder than most other types (HTP) and also appears to be more resistant to abrasion and deformation. Prijon makes very popular WW kayaks from the same material. The boat weathercocks w/o the rudder. The rudder system allows a pretty solid footbrace due to its design. If I were buying a plastic boat, a Seayak would be high on the list- the price is also very competitive.
