The method Jackie uses works well for that and helps avoid the embarrassment of messages going to the list that should not get posted in public. Jackie has no way of keeping records of how many flame wars she has avoided but I would bet she has avoided a few. E-Mail lends itself to quick responses that we repent at our leisure. Anything that helps avoid public humiliation seems a good idea to me. The downside comes if you don't erase the sender's address before sending to the list when replying to a message. The sender of the original message then gets two responses. Not a big deal since the delete button cleans things up pretty quickly along with all those other messages you don't want to read. :-) Cheers, John Winters Redwing Designs Web site address http://home.ican.net/~735769 *************************************************************************** PaddleWise Paddling Mailing List - All postings copyright the author and not to be reproduced outside PaddleWise without author's permission Submissions: paddlewise_at_lists.intelenet.net Subscriptions: paddlewise-request_at_lists.intelenet.net Website: http://www.paddlewise.net/ ***************************************************************************Received on Tue Jun 20 2000 - 03:53:36 PDT
