Jim Tynan Pike Road AL ============ MASSEYıS LAKE PONTCHARTRAIN KAYAK RACE Come visit beautiful and intriguing New Orleans and the northshore of Lake Pontchartrain and take part in the Lake Pontchartrain Kayak Race! There are two races to choose from - a 10-mile race or a 4.5-mile race along the northshore of Lake Pontchartrain in picturesque Mandeville followed by food, fun and festivities. This event has two purposes -- it is a competitive race and it is also a fund raiser for two of our local organizations, one which is involved in helping the needy people of our community and another that is making the earth an environmentally better place to live. There are numerous hotels in the Mandeville/Covington area as well as two state parks for camping.
