Jed, the May/June issue of Anorak magazine has a really good article on making a throwing stick by Ray Killan, the editor. http://members.aol.com/gokayak/anorak/ the only modification I would do with the rather comprehensive instructions is use a table saw with a angled fence for the harpoon groove...
