    Now see, this is exactly why I'm glad my first post was so tame. Given 
the scenario as you have explained it (so eloquently, I might add), I would 
see tipping as an acceptable thing. Anyone who works in a service industry, 
for less than minimum wage, should be tipped for delivering excellent 
service. I didn't realize that guides were paid such wages.  Shame.

    Now that you mention it, I am having difficulty keeping that all-white 
NDK Explorer white. Any good tips to keep good, thick, British gel-coat from 
taking on other colors?
