My wife has the plastic Shadow and is looking to upgrade to glass or kevlar next year so I thought I would give it a spin. Where the plastic boat is almost too tight the glass boat was comfortable. A couple of notes from the Perception rep at The Great Lakes symposium. Next year they are changing the foot pegs to be the gas peddle type for controlling the rudder (solid foot pegs) and they are going to offer a skeg version of the boat (even better). The skeg version will put it up there in contention with the Romany 16 for my wife next year. The kevlar Shadow is delightfully light. My partner for the rescue class was a lady in a kevlar Shadow. So easy to drain the boat during a T rescue.
