John, you give me too much credit! Thanks, though. Nick Schade deserves more credit for designing a fantastic hull and writing the book to explain how to build such a boat. I really can't claim that much originality--Nick designed the boat and patiently explained how to get creative with different woods. The overall strip pattern was inspired by one of his brother Eric's boats, John Fereira pointed me to a woodworking site that showed an accent band that inspired my diamond accent strip, and my wife deserves a lot of credit for being patient with me while I worked 7 months of evenings on the boat!
