My last post reply to Jed mentioned a "bag" made by West Marine for VHF radios. I meant to call it a "case", as a bag suggests something a bit different. The interior of the cordura case stays wet, so it is best to keep it out of the case when in your tent (unless you dried it in the sun already) or not in use at home, so nothing rots. As far as washing the HX350S, I do use a tap when I get home, using luke warm water with a faucet with an aerator attachment on low flow. This is how I clean my Pentax WR camera as well. Never had a problem. I think you need a bit of "flow" to extract fine sand and grit particles. A fire hose, no.
