Went to a slide show last night, and the speaker mentioned
something about an orca attack on a human. Can anyone
offer additional information?

AFAIK, there has never been a documented case of an orca in the wild
attacking a human. Don't know about captive orcas.

Yeah, that's because Orcas are smart enough to know when they can attack
and not get caught. :) Proof of a higher intelligence, IMO.

This isn't much information to go on. I think I saw something about
a performer at a SeaWorld show in an "incident' with an orca but that
was a long time ago, I don't remember details, and maybe this orca
had claustrophobia? :-)

Cheers,

Jackie

It's been a while, but there was a new age nut who wanted to go swimming with the Orcas a long time ago. He tried slipping into the one in Canada ( I believe Vancouver??) but was caught and thrown out. He then went down to Sea World where he stayed after visiting hours were over. An orca had been isolated due to aggressive behavorial problems,'s but our swimmer did not know that. He was found the next morning dead with an extremely agitated orca.

That's what I was told.
