G'Day, The novice speaks again and eats his words of last week!! I repeated the Self Rescue practice again with the Paddlefloat mounted in front of my narrow cockpit boat rather than the rear. Disaster! It was fine at first. But!!! its winter here and after half an hour in and out of the water the chill seeped into my bones, I became less and less agile and a necessary sense of balance disappeared. Finaly was totally unable to complete either the conventional or the cowboy rescue. So it was OK while I was nice and warm and energetic last week but under more realistic conditions not so good at all! Will see how I fare next week with the paddlefloat mounted conventionally. All the best, PeterO *************************************************************************** PaddleWise Paddling Mailing List - All postings copyright the author and not to be reproduced/forwarded outside PaddleWise without author's permission Submissions: PaddleWise_at_PaddleWise.net Subscriptions: PaddleWise-request_at_PaddleWise.net Website: http://www.paddlewise.net/ ***************************************************************************
