Without going into any speculation as to why the exact age of my Skerray is
so difficult to remember - I've actually had my Skerray for 5 years now -
hatches started deteriorating in the third year.

This getting old stuff is for the birds!

"We are not amused!"

Having owned boats with strap on hatches I would never own another boat
without a VCP hatch. My boat is always bone dry and the convenience of
opening and closing a hatch in seconds is worth and minor problems with the
materials. Based on our member from the UK, the problem isn't the hatch,
it's the replacement cost. In the UK it's a fraction of the US price.
