[Paddlewise] sympathy (not)

Had a lovely afternoon paddle last weekend. Did a trip around Ross Island,
which is 5 minutes from the house, and almost in downtown Portland. It was
quite sunny and warm, so I found a beach of my own, and tried to read while
the motor boats roared by.

After several chapters, and all the chips & (mango-peach-blueberry!) salsa
were gone, I headed back around the "quiet" side of the island. Only a few
ski boats to dodge. Almost back to the end of the island, I saw something
sticking out of the mud bank. I decided to investigate, and pulled a nice
new Danforth anchor out of the muck, complete with chain.

For the rest of the trip, every time I saw an obnoxious motor boat roar
past, I smiled and thought, "That's got to be the sorry _________ (fill in
blank) that lost his anchor".

Now, all I have to do is figure out how to get that poor ______(fill in
blank) his anchor back.

Tina
