My new surf ski is taking on about a half-gallon of water every time I take it out....mainly, I think, because I'm still tipping over a lot and the cable housings are considerably larger diameter than the cables. Anybody got a simple, reliable, long-lasting fix? My kneejerk reaction is to smear soap on the cables where they go through the housings into the hull and then inject some sort of goop - like AquaSeal - and let it harden, hoping it will adhere to the insides of the cable housings and not to the cable itself...making a reasonably water-resistant bushing/seal. ----------------------- Pete Cresswell *************************************************************************** PaddleWise Paddling Mailing List - All postings copyright the author and not to be reproduced/forwarded outside PaddleWise without author's permission Submissions: PaddleWise_at_PaddleWise.net Subscriptions: PaddleWise-request_at_PaddleWise.net Website: http://www.paddlewise.net/ ***************************************************************************Received on Thu Aug 31 2000 - 17:20:30 PDT
