It was definitely a beautiful boat paddled by a great lady. I had the pleasure of paddling with her on the Friday trip, she was in my little pod of kayakers. That was the first symposium I have ever been too and I was pleased with everyone I met. I had the pleasure of carpooling to the Friday trip put in with Mark (I blank on the last name). He was one of the staff and also one of the vendors demoing boats on the beach Saturday and Sunday. He sold the badairka, skin boats. He had one of those pleasant, gruff, blunt personalities. On Sunday morning I paddled one of his boats. After the paddle as I was getting out I commented on how good the boat was. His reply: "I knew that, I just didn't know if you were a good enough paddler to know that." I had to keep from laughing and still chuckle when I think about it.
