The death was a newbie forty something male. Crashed into something solid. The injury was a newbie fourteen year old female. These were two separate incidents. It is my understanding that Jet Skis comprise 10% of the powerboat market and are involved in 30% of REPORTED boating accidents. I emphasize reported because I am sure that many (most) power boat injuries go unreported. If an injury occurs which requires more than first aid, you are required to report the incident.
