Just a refresher... paddling.net, a commercial website, is home of Tamia Nelson, the columnist that issued a notice to Ralph Diaz that, because he would not give her permission to use his quotes from PaddleWise (she would not tell how she would be using them... this after she wrote an unflattering column about his book), then she would parapharase from his posts on PaddleWise anyhow and there could be errors as a result. Her words. Against PaddleWise policy, Tamia Nelson was being forwarded posts from PaddleWise as fodder for her column. I missed all that. Guess this post was a big Faux Pas. For which publication does Tamia write for? When they first launched their site, they placed me as well as PaddleWise on their spam list to promote their site. The spam never made it to PaddleWise as they are not a subscriber (these are the times when I *love* Majordomo :-). Jackie should explain who this Major Domo is who has won her heart. I remember seeing an Aschii art picture of him. He is a Prussian officer left over from the late 18th Century and wears a spiked helmet, leather boots and a waxed curled moustache. His sole purpose is to control the email to listservs by using his sword to cleave out spam and MREs. Only prime beef is good enough for his troops. ralph diaz -- ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Ralph Diaz . . . I'm assuming they found my and PaddleWise's email addresses using a search engine and got them from the web.
