How about a diver's slate clipped to the bungies to write them
down as soon as you time them?

But what better use of the little time you have?!

Or better, how about one of those waterproof notebooks from West Marine?

I picked up a little 4"x6" notebook at a stationary store that is "mostly"
waterproof. It has a blue foam rubber cover and the pages are, at least,
water resistant. I still keep in a zip lock bag but it's good for taking
notes on the water but I'm mostly using it as a log. For BCU
certification one of the requirements is to present a log book describing
some trips or instruction. Does anyone know where I can an "official" BCU
log so I know exactly what to put in mine?
