[Paddlewise] Cliffs, Huts and Spirits

My in-laws, who consider me the out-law most of the time since my ancestors hail from parts further south, are of proud Swedish descent. I can therefore confirm at first hand Shawn's ascertion that Swedes drink their spirits cold: They freeze bottles of Aquavit in milk cartons full of highly saline water to drop the temperature as low aspossible. The ice is often decorated with leafy twigs and blossoms to create an illusion of spring in the depths of the dark northern winter, an effect which the third and fourth glass amplifies in my experience. You can feel the Aquavit all the way down in your stomach, however, reports of my untimely death as a result of drinking it are highly exaggerated.
