It would appear to me that you are suggesting that "ethics" are flexible. I am saying that ethics are situational....as in the example of the kayaker who approached the whale (illegal according to the marine law) to see if the whale was in trouble, which it was. had he strickly obeyed the law the young humpback may have perished. also sometimes the law is immoral such as the segregation laws in our country in the 50's and sixties. opposing those laws was ethical.
