[Paddlewise] Goodbye for a While

Hi folks,

I have enjoyed this list immensely over the last year or so, and have
learned a great deal from this wonderful group of people.  Over the last
couple of months, I have been unable to paddle at all due to a bad elbow.
I'm scheduled to have surgery on it later this year, but even then it may be
a while before I can paddle again.  (It is quite painful, pretty much all
the time.  And I have a high threshold for pain.)  So, unfortunately, the
kayaks are in storage for a while (as is my canoe), and I have to turn my
energies to other things.  I am very hopeful that in a few months I can
re-evaluate this situation, but everything depends on how successful the
surgery is, and, I suppose, on post-surgery therapy.

So....  I reluctantly will sign off for a while.  Reading all the emails
just makes it all the harder, hearing of all your great adventures.

Please don't forget me (if you remembered me in the first place <g>), except
those I've offended -- to those, please forget me enough so that when I sign
back on in a few months (hopefully) you will not remember what a jerk I was
<g>.  Special thanks to Jackie for all her hard work in keeping this thing
going!

Happy Paddling to All, and *cherish those working bones and muscles*, lest
you lose them!  I hope to be back with you before too long....
