Kirk,

I now live in Bellevue, right next to Redmond (aka Home of the
Evil Empire). Call me 425-373-5445 when you get here and I can
suggest many good half day trips to you. In fact, I'm not working
at the moment (between contracts) and would be very happy to
paddle with you. If you are a member of REI be sure to bring
your memebership card. That gets you a free demo boat on the
REI boat site on Lake Wahington. Or, if you prefer, we can rent
you a boat elsewhere and paddle Elliot Bay, or out through the
locks (but that takes time and we'd need lights on the way home
if you have only a half day). Bring your wet or dry suit.
We don't have really cold weather but it can get pretty bitter.

I just found out I'm going to Seattle(Redmond) for a few days next week.
On tuesday I've got a free half day.  Any suggestions for how to get
some boat time would be greatly appreciated.  (the forecast of 53 degrees
with showers isn't a deterant)
