Hello Wise Paddlers: Anyone ever heard of a Nadee kayak? I read an article about them (and thier owners), on some site referenced by someone on Paddlewise, though I don't remember who or what the referenced site was. I think it was an Austrailian Kayaking Newsletter. A basic web search turned up nothing on "Nadee". The newsletter article made some rather amusing, though not very flattering remarks about the owners of Nadees; the gist of it being that Nadee owners were elitist. (The author refers to them as Go-Nads) Therefore, I got the impression that Nadee makes a high end kayak. It just stroked my curiosity about them. Tom D. (who contentendly paddles a short, fat, tuperware kayak; and doesn't think dropping a few thou on a boat is a big deal. (compare to motor boating, where a few thou wouldn't get you through one season.)) *************************************************************************** PaddleWise Paddling Mailing List - All postings copyright the author and not to be reproduced/forwarded outside PaddleWise without author's permission Submissions: PaddleWise_at_PaddleWise.net Subscriptions: PaddleWise-request_at_PaddleWise.net Website: http://www.paddlewise.net/ ***************************************************************************
"Anyone ever heard of a Nadee kayak?" The boat, I think, is a "Nadgee Expedition", made by Dave Winkworth, on the South coast of New South Wales, a state of Australia. It's named after the Nadgee wilderness area, between the NSW border and Disaster Bay. I hope they are good, I've asked Dave to make me one. Anyone like to buy a good used Pittarak? I have one and earlier this year I did a 650Km 5 week trip around the Coastline of Tasmania. Its a great kayak and responds well to lean turns and has good manners in the surf. I had Dave (who I paddle with regularly) put in the front bulkhead to my size, reducing my cockpit volume and giving me more storage area. The one reason he picked on Nadgee owners is he got a different boat though he was thinking of getting one at one stage. He used to pick on Mirage paddlers but they got real upset though it was all tongue in cheek Cheers David *************************************************************************** PaddleWise Paddling Mailing List - All postings copyright the author and not to be reproduced/forwarded outside PaddleWise without author's permission Submissions: PaddleWise_at_PaddleWise.net Subscriptions: PaddleWise-request_at_PaddleWise.net Website: http://www.paddlewise.net/ ***************************************************************************
