I, for one enjoy immensely the straightforwardness of the post on here. I do 
believe however, that you had a typo, isn't it "just a big-mouth, opinionated 
bass?" (sorry I couldn't resist, you provided the opportunity to be hooked 
SIC play on words). The  combination of styles of writing/thinking of 
paddlers the world around is a tremendous help to us yet unseasoned kayakers 
(I have been paddling for almost 2 yrs & consider myself yet to be wet behind 
the ears). We need to hear of others experiences, wisdom & lessons learned. 
If it weren't for paddlewise I wouldn't be privy to hear about other 
experiences since my daily world is spent around people who can't grasp the 
intense sense of peace I feel when I am out paddling.

Your style of writing is great and even I can understand and grasp what you 
are saying so please don't back off!
