I am new to this mailing list and have been lurking for awhile and just about ready to put the boat back on the roof and haul ass off to kinder waters. I am really glad that Doug asked "how many crossings do you have to make to be a "real" paddler?" I have owned a sea kayak now for about 4 years and it has yet to see an ocean, alas I am an inland paddler who simply loves exploring the Canadian Shield and the vastness of Lake Superior. It is refreshing that even big mouthed asses can back paddle and show a little humility- I think I'll stick around a little longer. *************************************************************************** PaddleWise Paddling Mailing List - Any opinions or suggestions expressed here are solely those of the writer(s).
