Paddlewisers, Despite the wrath I have experienced on Paddlewise, I would still like to invite its Southern California subscribers to the below paddle that I am hosting for several of the local kayaking clubs. So if you think you might be able to bear my ego, immaturity, insensitivity, name calling, lack of seamanship, needless risk taking and disregard for safety, come on down. Just be sure to sign the club liability waiver that I will be passing around. Day After Turkey Day Paddle and Potluck at Palos Verdes Peninsula, Friday, November 24, 2000, hosted by Duane Strosaker. While everyone else is stressed out fighting the crowds holiday shopping at the malls, we'll be relaxing on the water and eating leftovers. Be ready to launch through the surf at Cabrillo Beach in San Pedro at 9:00 a.m. We'll paddle along the beautiful peninsula and be back at Cabrillo for a potluck lunch around 12:30 p.m. Parking is $6.00.
