Summer 1983 -- England, Jolland, Germany, Norway, Sweden (and back):

- 1 x 45 hp (Leyland) Mini (12 or 13 foot long, 80 mph ... very cool .. at
least at the time :-)
- 2 x cozy occupants inside
- 2 x 16 ft single kayaks on top
- space between front seats and rear bench filled with canned food (since
Scandinavia is an expensive place to eat).

... fuel consumption less than 5 liters per 100 km over the trip ... more
fuel efficient that the railroad + local busses (to get to the put-ins) could
have been. Guilt? None.

(I also commute exclusively on foot and by train twice a day.)
