I have not found any difficulty wearing a wrist splint if expecting an extended paddle Kathleen. I have carpal tunnel in both wrists and works well. Found that it also complements a proper paddling technique in that it promotes a loose grip and feathering with my 60 degree is integrated into the arms rather than the wrists.
