For whatever it's worth, my '97 Outback --- which isn't much different from the newest editions --- took stock DoubleCross mounts, and handled a heavy load well. Can't imagine how they wouldn't work on current Subies. Solid as a rock at 80 mph with two kayaks and a bike. Tied down, of course .....
