Thanks to all who responded about getting the Yakima on my new wonderful Subaru (with 270 miles of local driving in 4 days) -- the trick to getting the mounts on was actually to insert the bars first. Yakima had suggested that I be sure to take the bars out, but the only way I could do it was with them in. Even then it took a bit of angling and gentle pushing. Anyway, it's on -- my rollers are on, my cradles are on and my ski rack is on. Hooray. Now to have some fun.....
