My seat is carved out of a single block of foam and is very comfortable. I can spend all day in the boat without landing with no problems. The fellow who built my boat (Nadgee Expedition)took a grinder to the block and ground out two dents around the size of my bum cheeks. He custom builds the kayaks so knows the size of the person he builds them for. THe seat is attached via velcro so I have about an Inch of play in moving my sea backwards or forwards.
