I and more than half of the people I paddle with are seniors. We have an 82 year old in our club who stills owns 3 boats and paddles on short paddles or in the bow of a tandem with one of us.

I led two trips down the Neches River in the last 3 months (38 miles over 3 days) and on th the first, the oldest was 76 and the youngest was 19. But fiive of the group were seniors. On the second trip all of us but
two were seniors.

The average age in our paddling club, with members that do flat and white water and gulf paddling in canoes and kayaks must be at least 45 or 50 with many trips averaging more like 55.

I live in Houston but paddle all over the country. Last year, while I was in California, I found a 70 year old man to paddle with. This year I plan to take a more senior friend and paddle in Monteray Bay. I also own 7
boats and paddle free style touring, seakayaking, and do a little canoeing and kayaking on white water, class I-III.

So I would like to see both a seniors group and have it divided in men and woman groups.
