I've been amused by the trend of this thread and inspired by the described
prowess/exploits of some of the "oldsters" and "disadvantaged" folks detailed
on Paddlewise.

Two thoughts:

1.  I've been young, dumb, and strong.  I am now old, canny, and weak(er). 
I'll take the latter, any day.

2.  There is an old saying we used to use when we played three-on-three power
volleyball:  "Old age and treachery will conquer youth and skill any day."  We
did, too.
