John I have been paddling a Gulfstream for three years and experienced similar rolling problems until I had a friend watch my head carefully. I roll up on the right side and found that "locking" my head to my right shoulder made all the difference. Letting the boat bring my head up solved my problem. This is not an uncommon problem I'm told. Prior to the Gulfstream I paddled a Valley Skerray (glass) and I find the Gulfstream superior in many ways, including rolls. Please note that my roll is far from bombproof.
