Ralph,

I have not used Marine Goop.  I have used other Goop types.  Goop is a
solvent based adhesive sealant that hardens by solvent evaporation and maybe
some crosslinking (I'll defer to Dave on the latter). Aquaseal is a
polyurethane sealer that hardens by reacting with water vapor.  They are not
the same.  I used some Goop for an outdoor application about 3 years ago.
It died after two MN summers.
