I've been considering a bent-shaft paddle for a loooong time (it's been a year since I unsuccessfully tried to buy one specific paddle.) I want a bent-shaft with a variable feather angle, which limits the number available. I'm currently considering a Lendal G1F shaft. But I'm not keen on Lendal blades. I've tried an Archipelago and found it too big for my tastes. So... Has anyone ever cut down such a blade (in width)? Any obvious problems? The Lendal blades are, I'm told, solid, not hollow, so this is a possibility. Does anyone know of a blade from another manufacturer that fits the 27mm inside diameter of a Lendal shaft (the only size that the variable join is available in)? I've looked at lots of paddles and haven't found any. Mike (If this doesn't work, I'll probably make a pair of blades) *************************************************************************** PaddleWise Paddling Mailing List - Any opinions or suggestions expressed here are solely those of the writer(s).
