Patrick, as I see it, it would get quite cumbersome to translate
temperature to 5 or more different measures, length (distance) into the
multitude of possibilities- I think it would be handy if a
qualifier/context is  appended to any units of measure.

The recipient should go the extra mile = 16090000000000 angstroms = .333
leagues = 8 furlongs = 320 rods = 0.29 leagues (sea)= 880 fathoms, and
of course, 380200 picas.
