In germany you have to pay 2000 DEM (almost 1000 USD) for the TELIT 550
Dual Mode Mobile Telefon. Dual = GSM and Satelite
Glohalstar isnīt reachable worldwide, but works in Australia, South America
in all major parts of the northern world, except the polarregions.
The telefon uses normal mobile telefon cards and the minute cost minimum
1,70 USD (in germany).
The telefon is about double big than the most usual ones.
Great thing but VHF is more important for paddlers.
