Hey!  This idea could also be a solution for those of us who like to sail while
kayaking.  I use a spinnaker-style sail, which is fairly easy to rig but has the
notable disadvantage that when a wind gust hits from the side on a 4 foot tall
sail it can create a rather hefty and sustained (while the gust lasts) capsizing
force.  A double-bladed paddlefloat could provide enough flotation to resist it
from either side!
